    Co-Executive Director for Innovative Democracy+Planet-Saving Strategy Team

    CO EXEC DIRECTOR for Democracy & Planet Saving Tech Activist Team (NO tech experience necessary): GetCourageNow and the WiseCourage Project

    WHO WE ARE:

    GetCourageNow is an 8 yearold progressive nonprofit with a tech activist team project developing America's first NextGeneration Organizing mobilizing movement platform to offer at least three radical urgently needed essential and innovative organizing & mobilizing tools for achieving everything from providing hundreds of free fulltime organizers for ensuring free and fair November elections to the tools to finally make feasible a National Nonviolent Civic Uprising and well targeted Social Strike (NNCUSS).

    The latter goal would of course not only be our last best hope best proven strategy to end the fascist takeover if this November's elections are stolen, but arguably also essential even if our centrist Democratic Party wins control of Congress to get passed what urgently needs to get passed: Medicare for all, drastic reduction of the Dept of War budget, raise of the minimum wage, free child care, renewal of the GreenNewDeal, expanding the Supreme Court, etc

    This link very briefly describes each of the three tools, one already beta tested with huge success proving that moral courage can be catalyzed at scale, arguably the highest purpose of technology, a far higher and more urgent purpose than that of AI, all the good AI can also do notwithstanding (eg in medicine, transport, design, alternative clean energy, etc)!

    Our founder has decades of fundraising experience for progressive media and many years of organizing experience with political cause campaigns, and honchoed three prior startups.

    LOCATION: Remote is fine, bur Philly or NYC preferred. Our team is currently based in Philadelphia, home of the ED and founder, but the tech team and researchers are based worldwide and NYC.

    HOURS: Flexible, but enough to achieve responsibilities below, and assuming at least 20 hrs/wk

    THE OPPORTUNITY:

    At the risk of hyperbole, this is a chance to co-create what arguably could be the most important, biggest impact, and most urgently needed social-political-economic and climate justice change tools of 2026 and beyond--this most critical moment in our species history, and the history of democracy. This is because they will be the first tools able to create the essential ingredients for massive non-violent civil resistance (history's best proven strategy for achieving real system change)to succeed, namely:

    • moral courage at scale, hence the ability to recruit millions willing to do NVR
    • 1000 devoted fulltime organizers available gratis, and
    • a massive well funded mutual aid system capable of sustaining sufficiently powerful social strikes ( by amassing a $3-4B emergency fund for strikers and more)

    If you agree with 99% of philosophers that moral courage is the most important of all virtues, the virtue that makes the consistent practice of the other virtues possible, then arguably we are pioneering what could be the highest best use of technology ever.

    Responsibilities:

    • Confer daily with original founder and Exec Director re day-to-tasks and priorities
    • Your responsibilities will be worked out through mutual agreement based on your own skills and passions and connections
    • FWIW, the founder and current ED's needs range from 1) help finding partners eager to use the organizers we find and fund through AdoptAnOrganizer; especially organization focussed on protecting the 9 closeUS Senate Race elections; 2) to help finding inspiring video selfies of compassionate people who've provided free temporary housing to homeless vets, refugees, domestic abuse victims etc; to 3) help finding ways to find $500-1000/mo matching donors to match what our hundreds of aspiring organizers are able to raise for themselves (eg donated housing); 4) to finding talented social media help to get the word out about our free game-changer help

    Qualifications:

    • The more experience in a position of leadership and in creating relationships with top level organizers in labor, climate, social, or economic justice movements, or finding medium donors, or social media talent, etc the better. BUT IF YOU HAVE NONE OF THAT, but eager to be mentored, that might work out just fine
    • Big Plus: Having strong trusted relationships with at least one nonviolent resistance strategy-based campaigns
    • Big Plus: Accustomed to at least one project management tool such as ASANA
    • A verifiableTrack record demonstrating that you areDevoted to bettering the planet and/or humanity

    Compensation:

    We ran out of funding recently, so needing to start on a volunteer basis, but optimistic will find funding within 2 months, and have a track record to prove it. Our Founding and current Exec Director is not paid either.
