    Description

"The Nest" combines confidential drug checking with non-judgmental health education at public events to identify emerging substance trends and mitigate public health risks. To ensure the scientific integrity of this program, Ágora requires the specialized advisory support of chemistry professionals. This assignment allows volunteers to apply their chemical expertise directly to the refinement of field protocols, ensuring risk communication is grounded in rigorous scientific safety standards.

Within the framework of "The Nest" drug checking and public health program, the selected Online Volunteers will provide high-level chemical analysis advisory services and technical consultancy. The volunteers will not operate as official laboratory staff, but will instead work collaboratively under internal supervision to complete a single, concrete task: the delivery of an updated Reagent Screening Operational Manual and an accompanying Anonymized Substance Discrepancy Ledger.

To achieve this specific technical output, the volunteers will execute the following integrated advisory components:

Review existing reagent-based screening protocols (primarily colorimetric reaction profiles) to draft updated chemical safety charts and substance cross-reactivity matrices.

Provide consultancy-like guidance on safe sample handling, proper personal protective equipment (PPE) hygiene standards, and chemical waste mitigation protocols for field environments.

Analyze minimal, non-identifying chemical data inputs to categorize discrepancies between expected and detected substances, formatting these insights into a structured public health trend matrix.

Provide technical peer-review on risk-communication text to ensure that chemical uncertainties and testing limitations are communicated to the public with absolute scientific accuracy.
