    Description

    We are seeking an energetic, organized, and creative Event Coordinator to join our team. This position provides support in all aspects of events, both internal and external, such as brand promotions, networking and community events. Responsibilities include but are not limited to responding to inquiries, administrative tasks, event logistics, marketing, coordination, and travel management.

    About the Deliverance Charities: Deliverance Charities is a U.S.- based nonprofit organization dedicated to influencing and encouraging people and families living in poverty by focusing on their financial well-being.

    Start Date: Immediate (need a commitment of at least 3 months)

    Reports to: Fundraising Manager

    Location: Primarily remote. While it’s expected that most work can be completed remotely, there may be occasions where in-person meetings and networking events may take place. Still optional to attend. The organization is based in South Florida, but the scope of its programming and services is generally the entire state.

    Responsibilities:

    • Creates an annual calendar and obtains approval for all planned events and programs, venue selections including approved spending limits.
    • Oversees all logistics related to assigned events, including supervision of vendors, contractors and other departments as it relates to specific programs and activities.
    • Prepares all records, including use agreements (contracts); vendor forms; composes correspondence, including all information for residents and vendors.
    • Initiates, reviews, and finalizes contract for event services.
    • Coordinates and arranges appropriate facilities, labor, equipment and material in the set up and break down of event logistics.
    • Manages and maintains event budget, prepares and provides reports.
    • Trains and supervises special events staff including volunteers and department personnel, as well as other designated employees.
    • Ensures roles and responsibilities are clearly communicated and understood, as well as the accountability for meeting goals and objectives.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • Have an idea about event planning and coordination
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines
    • Very strong interpersonal skills; must be a "people person"
    • Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-up skills
    • Ability to work in a flexible and digital work environment
    • Ability to negotiate contracts and manage budgets
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Proficient in Google Cloud Based Apps, with the ability to learn and master new software applications
    • Proven ability to work successfully as a team member, and to build and maintain a positive work environment
    • Versed in social media and other communication platforms
    • Ability to travel throughout tri-county area (Palm Beach, Broward and Miami Dade)

    Work Environment: Our team is collaborative and supportive, using tools Google Gmail, Chat and Space to stay connected and work efficiently.

    Schedule:

    • Self-determined schedule but need updates monthly.
    • At least 5 hours a week, anything more is appreciated
    • Updates should be submitted via email.
