Visiting Seniors on hospice Holt, MI

Gentiva Hospice is expanding into Ingham county and I am looking for volunteers that would like to make friendly visits to our patients.

The visits can either be in the person's own home or in a facility. They are no hands on care. You will be there 100% for enjoyment. Some examples of visits may include but not limited to conversations, activities, watching TV, reading, crafts, card games, listening to music and puzzles.

People love volunteers because the focus is on them and doing what they like to do. Patients love to have visitors.

Requirements to be a volunteer have to be completed to satisfy Medicare, Nursing homes and Hospice guidelines. I help you with all of it to make it as simple as possible. They include

1. Background check
2. Fingerprints
3. Drug screening (minus marijuana)
4. Paperwork
5. 2 step TB test

All of this only has to be done once and is paid for by our company.

Once you are ready the schedule is 100% flexible to you. Even if you can only volunteer once a month it is truly appreciated. I am also very flexible to what works for you.
