Are you looking to gain experience with K-12 programming? Do you have a passion for working with youth? Are you an energetic, fun presence ready to make an impact with bright, spirited kids? Do you have a desire to engage with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures?
If you answered yes to any or all of these questions - you should join Foundation Communities to become a summer Learning Center volunteer! Our Learning Centers ensure that kids all across Austin have access to enriching experiences, academic support, and healthy activities without the barriers of cost and transportation. We welcome new volunteers to support our students with things like reading, physical activity, art, STEM, music, and general summer fun! These programs give youth the opportunity to make academic progress throughout the summer, to see friends and meet new people, and have exciting experiences.
We are seeking consistent volunteers to make an impact with youth in our Learning Centers throughout the weeks of June 15th - July 31st.
This commitment would be 1-2x per week for about 2hr shifts. We are looking for volunteers who are open to engaging with youth through physical activities, academic support, or other enrichment activities in areas such as art, music, technology, literacy, and more! We have full time staff who maintain our programming curriculum, but volunteers are a huge support and inspiration for bringing in new activities.
Whether you are seeking professional experience with youth, a fun summer volunteer opportunity, or to make connections in the nonprofit space while doing meaningful work, THIS IS THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU!
