Las Vegas Pizza Tailgate Volunteer

The Las Vegas Pizza Tailgate is happening again this year and we're looking for pizza-loving volunteers to help make the magic happen! If you'd like to sign up as a volunteer, we ask you to help out with setup, clean-up, and 1 of the 2 event sessions. For the remaining session, we invite you to attend the event and enjoy some pizza as our guest!

What is the Las Vegas Pizza Tailgate?

Each year, the International Pizza Expo conference and trade show transforms Las Vegas into the world’s pizza capital but the public rarely gets a glimpse. This event grants LV locals & tourists access to world-famous pizza makers from all over the globe, 75 minutes of unlimited slices, and a chance to win an Ooni pizza oven. The event features 20+ world-renowned pizza makers baking off specialty pizzas available only at this event. The best part is that the proceeds from this event will benefit our hunger-relief projects, most notably our ongoing Pie it Forward project.

When and where is the Las Vegas Pizza Tailgate happening?

It’s all happening on Monday, March 23 from 4-6:45pm at Pizza Rock Downtown(right before Tony Gemignani's famous Expo Kick-Off Party). We’ll be camping out with 20+ pizza-makers slingin’ pies on a lineup of Ooni ovens. This is a great chance for pizza enthusiasts, visiting pizza makers, and Las Vegas locals to celebrate everyone’s mutual love of pizza. Volunteers will be needed to help setup beginning at 12pm and volunteer through clean-up at 8pm with a break to enjoy the event as our guest for one of the two 75 minute sessions.

Can anyone volunteer?

We welcome all volunteers 18 years or older. We have a variety of roles perfect for people across a broad range of skill sets. We also welcome groups of volunteers from local companies of up to 8 people.

Do I need to be based out of Las Vegas to volunteer?

This event is Vegas-based, but if you plan to be traveling to the Las Vegas 3/23 (either for Pizza Expo or just because!) we'd love to have you join us! All training for the events will be virtual so you would only need to be in Vegas day-of.

What else should I know?

We will be hosting a virtual onboarding session via Zoom. To volunteer, you will need to attend 1 of the 2 sessions on:

• Wednesday, March 11 @8:30 PM EST (5:30 PM PST)
• Monday, March 16 @11 AM EST (8 AM PST)
