    About Youth Economists Forum (YEF)

    Youth Economists Forum (YEF) is a youth-led organisation dedicated to empowering young people with knowledge, skills, and opportunities in economics, public policy, and social impact. Through research, discussions, events, and digital engagement, YEF aims to create an informed and socially responsible global youth community.

    Role Overview

    YEF is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media & Content Officer to manage and grow our digital presence. This role is ideal for someone passionate about storytelling, youth engagement, and social impact, with an interest in economics, development, or policy-related topics.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Create engaging and informative content for YEF’s social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook, etc.)
    • Plan and manage a social media content calendar aligned with YEF’s mission and campaigns
    • Design basic graphics, reels, and short-form videos (using tools like Canva or similar)
    • Write captions, posts, and announcements for events, publications, and initiatives
    • Monitor engagement, respond to messages/comments, and help grow YEF’s online community
    • Collaborate with the research, events, and communications teams to promote YEF activities
    • Track social media performance and suggest strategies for improvement

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Strong written communication skills in English
    • Interest in social media management, digital content creation, or communications
    • Familiarity with major social media platforms and trends
    • Basic graphic design or video editing skills (preferred but not required)
    • Passion for youth development, economics, policy, or social impact
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
