Position Overview

ILH is seeking a passionate and visionary Executive Director to provide strategic leadership and guide the organization through its next phase of growth. This volunteer leadership opportunity is ideal for an individual who believes in community impact and is interested in helping strengthen a mission-driven organization.

The Executive Director will serve as the public-facing leader of ILH, build community partnerships, support fundraising efforts, and help establish the foundation for long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy

• Advance the mission and vision of ILH.
• Develop and implement strategic goals and priorities.
• Identify opportunities for organizational growth and community impact.

Community Relations

• Serve as a spokesperson and representative of ILH.
• Build relationships with community organizations, government agencies, businesses, and supporters.
• Promote community awareness of ILH's programs and services.

Fundraising and Development

• Identify grant, sponsorship, and partnership opportunities.
• Assist in developing fundraising initiatives.
• Cultivate relationships with donors and supporters.

Organizational Development

• Help establish policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Support volunteer recruitment and engagement.
• Work collaboratively with organizational leadership to strengthen operations.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in nonprofit, community, business, education, public service, or related fields.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Passion for community development and service.
• Experience with fundraising, grant writing, partnerships, or organizational growth is preferred but not required.
• Ability to commit approximately 10 hours per week during the initial six-month volunteer term.

Volunteer Commitment

This is an unpaid volunteer position during the initial six-month term. As the organization grows, opportunities for expanded leadership responsibilities and compensation may be explored based on organizational capacity and funding.
