Role Overview The Lily Foundation is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Web Design Specialist to help elevate our digital presence. We are looking for a volunteer who can translate our humanitarian mission into a clean, accessible, and engaging online experience. This role is perfect for someone looking to build their portfolio while supporting families in medical crisis through effective digital communication.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Website Refresh: Conceptualize and implement visual updates to our website to better align with our brand identity.
    • UI/UX Optimization: Audit and improve the user interface to ensure a seamless experience for visitors seeking resources.
    • Resource Presentation: Design visually compelling pages for advocacy toolkits, blog posts, and educational content.
    • Collaboration: Partner with our Website Operations team to ensure designs are technically feasible and mobile-responsive.

    Essential Skills

    • Proficiency in web design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, or Canva) and basic knowledge of WordPress design elements.
    • An eye for layout, typography, and color theory.
    • Note: We are looking for passion and a creative spirit! If you are not an expert in all of these areas, we are happy to provide guidance and resources. Your primary requirement is an openness to learn our design workflows and adapt to our accessibility standards.

    Educational & Humanitarian Benefits

    • Build a professional design portfolio by working on a high-impact, mission-driven platform.
    • Gain experience in non-profit branding and web accessibility best practices.
