PIMA COUNTY ATTORNEY’S OFFICE VICTIM SERVICES DIVISION
We will be holding virtual info sessions (Jan 13/ Jan 20) about our upcoming Crisis Intervention and Victimology training beginning February 3, 2026.
Our Victim Advocate course is a well-structured, comprehensive, and hands-on training. The training teaches basic crisis intervention skills, concepts, and techniques. In addition, it examines various types of crimes and the specific victimization dynamics that victims of crimes may face, including common trauma reactions. You will also learn about the criminal justice system and what the role of an advocate entails throughout this process. This training is the gateway into volunteering and participating in an internship with the Victim Services Division.
The in-person training will be held from 6:00pm-9:00pm every Tuesday and Thursday from February 3, 2026 through March 24, 2026 (No class during UofA’s Spring Break from 3/7 to 3/14). It is required that anyone who would like to take part in the training attend an online informational session either Tuesday January 13, 2026, or Tuesday January 20, 2026.
A link to the information session will be sent to all confirmed attendees once we’re closer to the date(s). Please be aware that while the info sessions are online/virtual the training itself is in person.
If you have any questions, please call (520) 724-5525 and ask to speak with a Volunteer Coordinator.
Thank you very much,
Victim Services Division
