    Volunteer Opportunity: Accounting Assistant

    Organization: LifeSmart Education (LSE)

    Location: Remote (with occasional virtual meetings)

    Commitment: Flexible hours, approx. 4–6 hours per week

    Position Overview:

    We’re seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant (Volunteer) to support our financial operations and help us maintain accurate and transparent records. This role is ideal for someone interested in nonprofit accounting, bookkeeping, or finance who wants to contribute their skills to a meaningful cause.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist with data entry and recordkeeping of financial transactions
    • Support monthly reconciliations of bank statements and accounts
    • Help prepare financial reports for board meetings and funders
    • Maintain documentation for donations, grants, and expenditures
    • Work closely with the President and Treasurer to ensure proper tracking of income and expenses
    • Assist in preparing materials for audits or financial reviews
