Cobb Bethel AME Church, founded in 1863, is the steward of one of Atlanta’s oldest African American cemeteries-a sacred site where generations of Black landowners, veterans, and community leaders are laid to rest. This is an occasional, as-needed volunteer role. Volunteers will be contacted when cleanup days are scheduled and may choose to participate based on availability.
No prior experience is needed-just a willingness to get your hands dirty and a heart for preservation. Come solo or bring a group-we welcome all who want to serve and preserve.
