Home Library Preparer

We are looking for volunteers to help prepare Preschool Bilingual Home Libraries for Spanish-speaking families with young children in our community. Each home library contains about 20 carefully selected bilingual developmental, picture, and story books designed to encourage reading at home and help children get ready for school.

Volunteers help sort the books, add Reading is Power International labels, and package them into individual home libraries for families. The work is simple, meaningful, and can be done at home on your own schedule. We will arrange to meet you at your home or another convenient public location to drop off the books and supplies and pick up the completed libraries when you are finished.

This is a hands-on way to help a young child build a love of reading while supporting parents as they encourage learning at home. Every library you prepare will go directly to a family in our community.
