Job Summary: The Education Program Coordinator serves as the operational heart of the Women for Girls and One Student - One Tree projects, responsible for ensuring the holistic support and development of scholarship recipients and mentees across all four regions. This role directly manages all program logistics, from scholarship compliance and curriculum delivery to the execution of a 4-year mentorship program for 10 high school students in Cap-Haïtien. The Coordinator serves as the primary anchor, emotionally, physically, and mentally available, for mentees while also tracking the academic success of scholarship recipients nationwide. Mentor is the tutor of the 10 mentees in the Women For Girls project. A key expectation is the delivery of impactful reporting to demonstrate the transformative use of donor funds and the stewardship of young women's futures.
Job Responsibility: The Girls Education Program Coordinator serves as the heart of the Education program, responsible for the holistic management of both the scholarship project and the mentorship program. This dual-role position requires a passionate, organized, and emotionally intelligent leader who can:
50% of Time: Manage the scholarship program across all four regions, ensuring all recipients are educated on the Womenful Voice 4-day curriculum and tracked for academic success.
50% of Time: Execute the 4-year mentorship curriculum for the 10 mentees in Cap-Haïtien, serving as their constant anchor, emotionally, physically, and mentally available.
The Coordinator must be a trauma-informed mentor, academic tutor, program administrator, and partner liaison who ensures 100% of participants complete the program and thrive.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY
- Scholarship Program Management (50% of Time)
Scholarship Recipient Tracking: Monitor academic progress of all scholarship recipients across Port-au-Prince, Hinche, Mombin Crochu, Ouanaminthe, and Cap-Haïtien. Maintain updated records of grades, attendance, and well-being.
Womenful Voice 4-Day Curriculum Delivery: Educate all scholarship recipients on the Womenful Voice core curriculum (4 sessions per year). Topics include environmental consciousness, financial literacy, and women's empowerment. Adapt delivery for each region's context.
Regional Coordination: Travel to Port-au-Prince, Hinche, Mombin Crochu, and Ouanaminthe to conduct site visits, meet with scholarship recipients, and coordinate with local partners.
Scholarship Compliance: Ensure all recipients meet scholarship requirements (academic performance, attendance, participation in Womenful Voice activities). Address any barriers to success.
Reporting: Prepare quarterly reports on scholarship program outcomes, challenges, and successes for the Project Director and Womenful Voice leadership.
2. Mentorship Program Execution (50% of Time)3
Curriculum Delivery: Lead the 24-week (Year 1 & 2) and 28-week (Year 3 & 4) mentorship curriculum for 10 mentees in Cap-Haïtien. Ensure all sessions are delivered on schedule.
Academic Tutoring: Provide supplementary academic support in core subjects (math, language arts, sciences) to ensure mentees excel in their regular high school coursework. Be present at the school 3 days per week.
Emotional Support: Serve as a safe, non-judgmental presence. Conduct weekly emotional check-ins. Monitor mental health and intervene when signs of distress or discouragement appear.
Mentor Coordination: Recruit, vet, train, and manage mentors (including Haitian diaspora members) in collaboration with the project's director. Ensure mentors are prepared and supported throughout the program.
Community Action & Fun Activities: Organize and lead annual community service activities (trash removal, reforestation, food distribution) and fun bonding activities (beach days, picnics, library visits, camping trips).
Field Trips: Coordinate and lead educational field trips (e.g., visit to Women in Prison, library get-togethers, senior retreats). Ensure physical safety at all times.
Graduation & Celebrations: Organize the combined High School and Program Graduation ceremony. Plan the celebratory event with families, mentors, and partners.
Evaluation & Reporting: Collect data for program evaluation. Track success metrics (retention, plan completion, technology proficiency, application completion). Prepare annual impact reports.
- Administration & Coordination
Material Management: Ensure all materials (laptops, USB drives, bags, stationery, workbooks) are in Haiti and ready for use. Manage inventory and distribution.
Parent Engagement: Hold mandatory meetings with all 10 parents every 6 months. Provide regular updates on mentee progress. Address parent concerns and build family support systems.
Partner Coordination: Maintain strong relationships with ZPFM, SAHA, Mombin Crochu, P4H School, and AUE (coding partner). Attend quarterly partner review meetings.
Meeting Participation: Attend weekly meetings with the Project Director. Travel to Ouanaminthe for monthly staff meetings. Participate in quarterly partner reviews.
Data Management: Document attendance, progress, outcomes, and challenges. Maintain accurate records for all scholarship recipients and mentees.
Crisis Management: Provide emergency assistance for unexpected barriers (health issues, family crises, safety concerns). Connect mentees and families with resources as needed.
Professionalism & Transition Planning: Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and cultural sensitivity in all interactions. Ensure smooth handover of responsibilities and documentation if transitioning out of the role.
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Process and track the disbursement of funds for student tuition, uniforms, and school supplies to partner schools and vendors.
Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and school administrators via calls, messages, and in-person visits to check on student attendance and well-being.
Schedule, coordinate, and document all mentorship meetings (both group and one-on-one) between high school students and their mentors.
Log and update student records, including academic progress, attendance, participation in workshops or events, and well-being status.
Organize and facilitate regular extracurricular activities for children, such as get-togethers, community action activities, and life skills workshops.
Prepare and submit routine reports on program spending, student updates, and milestone achievements for internal and donor review.
Track and manage inventory of program materials (laptops, workbooks, stationery, supplies), ensuring availability across all regions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, International Development, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in youth development, education, mentorship, or community program management. Experience in Haiti highly preferred.
Language: Fluency in Haitian Creole and French required. English proficiency strongly preferred.
Travel: Willingness and ability to travel regularly to Port-au-Prince, Hinche, Mombin Crochu, Ouanaminthe, and Cap-Haïtien. Monthly travel to Ouanaminthe for staff meetings. Regular travel to other regions for scholarship oversight.
Skills:

Requirements:
Reliable transportation for local travel to schools, homes, and events.
Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends for program activities.
Proficiency in Google Workspace/Microsoft Office; experience with data tracking tools is a plus.
Pay depends on experience and skills range between $ 150 and $ 250 a month. Please be aware that this is a contractual position.
