    Pet Therapy Volunteer (Certified Teams) – Hospice Program

    Are you a certified pet therapy team with a heart for service and a desire to bring comfort and joy to others? Our hospice program is seeking pet therapy volunteers to provide emotional support and moments of connection for patients and families facing serious illness.

    Pet therapy visits offer warmth, calm, and smiles during challenging times. Your presence—along with your therapy animal—can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

    Volunteer Role Includes:

    • Providing emotional support and companionship through pet therapy visits
    • Bringing comfort and joy to hospice patients and their families
    • Visiting patients in private homes, assisted living communities, and nursing homes

    Volunteer Details:

    • We serve hospice patients throughout Connecticut, with assignments limited to convenient geographic areas
    • Comprehensive training and ongoing education provided
    • Infection control protocols are followed; PPE provided as needed
    • COVID-19 vaccination and booster required
