    Classroom Paid Volunteer with AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparents

    Are you a senior (55+ years of age) looking to make an impact in the Wichita community? Do you enjoy working with children? If so, we would love to have you join our group of classroom volunteers!

    The AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparent Program at Catholic Charities places seniors in early childhood centers, public/parochial schools, and shelters across Sedgwick County. Virtual opportunities are also available. Volunteers earn a tax-free stipend and mileage reimbursement while providing valuable tutoring and mentorship to children. This is truly a program that benefits both children and seniors!

    • Classroom volunteers can create schedules that best meet their need; the program asks for 15-40 hours of consistent volunteering per week.: 09:00 to 04:00 CST
