    Description

    Summer Intern

    As an LHCC Summer Camp Intern, you will have the opportunity to grow your leadership and interpersonal skills, learn about the non-profit sector and build lasting relationships with kids and staff. Based on your specific goals for the summer, we will help tailor your experience to be worth your while.

    Intern Responsibilities

    • Attend Summer Camp Orientation and any other meetings prior to the start of camp – dates are TBD buttentatively scheduled for June.
    • Supervise campers and ensure their safety, growth, and general well-being
    • Encourage, build up, and show kindness and grace to campers
    • Plan and execute specific camp programs (arts and crafts, STEM activities, sports, leadership, devotions, etc.)
    • Assist outside partners/programs that come lead activities
    • Engage and encourage campers in activities that you are not leading
    • Mediate and report camper behavior/issues to staff
    • Enforce safety guidelines
    • Serve breakfast and lunch to campers
    • Assist in set-up and clean-up
    • Take daily attendance of campers and complete other organizational tasks
    • Take pictures during camp

    Special projects outside of the regular duties can include:

    • Social media work; Instagram, Facebook, Website and other marketing projects
    • Measurement and reporting; survey design, implementation, and analysis
    • Marketing review and plan; assess current strategy for connecting with potential volunteers, donors, and families. Suggest and help implement improvements.
