Pharr- Senior Box Program and Product Recovery

We are the Food Bank RGV. Today, the Food Bank has grown to become the 49th largest in the nation and 7th largest in Texas based on distribution. We are proudly affiliated with Feeding America and Feeding Texas. The Food Bank serves Hidalgo, Willacy, and Cameron Counties.

What We Do

OUR MISSION The Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley is passionately committed to improving lives through food assistance, nutrition education, and access to community services.

Help us fight hunger by volunteering in our Senior Box Program station where we prepare boxes of nutritious food to improve the health of elderly people or in our Product Recovery station where we inspect, sort, and clean product received from local food drives and retail donations.

While these two stations are where volunteers help most often, opportunities may change based on necessity in other departments.
