    Description

    Are you an organized, detail-oriented leader who enjoys turning ideas into action? Myositis Support & Understanding (MSU) is seeking a Volunteer Project Lead to coordinate key outreach and engagement initiatives that advance our mission of transforming myositis care. In this role, you’ll oversee projects from planning to completion, collaborate across creative and communications teams, and ensure every initiative aligns with MSU’s brand and values.     Myositis Support and Understanding (MSU) is a leading non-profit dedicated to empowering and advocating for individuals affected by myositis, a group of rare autoimmune diseases. We provide vital resources, foster community, and raise awareness to improve the lives of those living with these challenging conditions.

    Responsibility

    The Project Lead will oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are strategically planned, effectively coordinated, and delivered on time with consistency and quality.

    This includes managing timelines, assigning tasks, reviewing deliverables, and facilitating collaboration across teams to achieve project goals.

    The position may also provide operational and administrative support to the Outreach & Engagement Team Lead and MSU leadership.

    Principle Duties

    • Develop project plans defining scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, and resource needs.
    • Collaborate with leadership to align project goals with organizational mission and strategy.
    • Assign and coordinate tasks among volunteer team members based on skills and availability.
    • Conduct regular project meetings to ensure clear communication and accountability.
    • Review all deliverables for quality, accuracy, and brand alignment before publication.
    • Track progress using project management tools and report updates to leadership.
    • Identify risks or delays early and implement solutions to maintain timelines.
    • Facilitate collaboration between marketing, creative, digital, and communications teams.

    Qualifications

    • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
    • Experience leading or managing projects from start to completion.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Detail-oriented and quality-focused mindset.
    • Familiarity with digital tools, marketing workflows, or content production.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
