    Finance Director

Equitable School Partnerships (ESP) of Boston

    Our Mission:

Equitable School Partnerships (ESP) of Boston provides underserved schools in the Boston area with a sustainable framework for managing enriching partnerships, accessing resources, and encouraging community engagement. ESP Boston seeks to bridge the opportunity gap that exists within the education system and to foster equity across schools.

    Our Vision:

We envision a Boston where every student — no matter their neighborhood or socio-economic background — has access to strong school partnerships, enriching programs, and the support they need to succeed in school and beyond.

    Our Values:

Educational Equity, Community Empowerment, Opportunity through Enrichment

    Our Focus & Impact:

ESP serves Boston public school students in K0-8th grade. Last year, 82% of Boston Public Schools’ students were designated as “high need”, 70% came from low-income families, 50% listed English as their second language, and 21% were learning with disabilities. In the name of equity, we at ESP believe Boston’s public schools must serve as an oasis of safety, inclusion, and holistic academic support.

ESP works to level the playing field by helping principals find, fund, and manage the partnerships their students’ need. We work closely with school leadership, gathering input from families, securing grants, and establishing long-term relationships with youth-serving organizations in the public and private sector. Our services are highly tailored to honor the unique history, culture, and community of each school.

ESP partnerships currently serve over 1,400 students across Boston, expanding access to athletics, STEM, music, art, theater, dance, tutoring, aftercare, career prep, school beautification initiatives, and free swimming lessons. ESP also hosts special events to showcase partner organizations, to provide opportunities for students to perform, and to advocate for school communities. Our work promotes academic achievement, encourages increased school attendance, supports physical and social-emotional health, and fosters a sense of belonging for students and families. Join us as we build opportunities, one school at a time.
