Hospice Volunteers

Affinity Care Hospice is seeking compassionate and dedicated volunteers to join our care team. As a hospice volunteer, you will play a vital role in bringing comfort, dignity, and support to patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone’s final journey.

Volunteer Roles May Include:

• Companionship: Sit with patients, read aloud, share conversation, or simply provide a comforting presence.
• Caregiver Relief: Allow family caregivers a chance to rest while you stay with their loved one.
• Administrative Support: Help with filing, phone calls, or preparing materials in the office.
• Bereavement Support: Assist with follow-up calls, mailings, or support groups for grieving families.
• Special Talents: Use your skills-like music, art, pet therapy, or massage-to enhance patients' quality of life.
• Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Background check and TB test required
  • Completion of hospice volunteer training program (provided by us)
  • Compassionate, reliable, and respectful of confidentiality and boundaries
