    Description

    Who this is for

You care about the people who care for the people. You've seen what happens when the ones doing the care work don't have anyone caring for them, and you don't want to see it happen again. You want to be the HR partner to the concierges and team people managers who hold CrowdDoing's volunteer ecosystem together.

    What you'd actually do

Sit alongside the People Management team — the concierges, team people managers, and community-of-practice people managers — as their thinking partner on their own workload, wellbeing, and role design. You are the person who asks "who's taking care of you?" and means it.

    • Watch the case load. Notice when a concierge or team people manager is carrying too much and help them redesign scope or hand off cases.

    • Co-design their roles. Work with each practitioner to keep their own role feeling like an ikigai experiment, not an obligation.

    • Support hard conversations. When someone needs to release a role, name a drift, or set a boundary with a volunteer, be the person they think it through with first.

    • Design the wellbeing rituals. Help shape the practices — buddy pairs, reflection circles, seasons of rest — that keep the people-work sustainable.

    • Feed patterns upstream. Bring what you learn about practitioner sustainability into the Ikigai Playbook and the Systems & Prompts circle.

Why this might be your ikigai

You'll get to practice a rare kind of HR business partnering: partnering with the practitioners of care. Most HR roles serve delivery teams; you'll serve the people whose whole job is service. If you've ever thought "the caregivers need caregivers," this is that role.

Signs this role might fit you

    • You've done HR partnering before and you're drawn to the human-services / care-provider side of it.

    • You can hold someone's exhaustion without rushing to solve it.

    • You understand the difference between compassion fatigue and lack of skill — and treat them differently.

    • You believe wellbeing is a design problem, not a wellness perk.

    • You want to help build what "HR for a volunteer care ecosystem" actually looks like.

Signs this role probably isn't for you

    • You want to design comp bands or performance reviews.

    • You want your primary partners to be senior executives.

    • You need a legally regulated employee-relations environment to do your best work.

    Commitment

Six-month initial commitment. Rhythm is co-designed with the People Management team — typically one recurring reflection space with the practitioners plus 1:1 availability for anyone carrying something heavy.

    What you'll be part of

You'll partner closely with the People Manager, Practitioner Community of Practice, and with the other HR Business Partners across teams. You'll help shape what sustainable people-work looks like at CrowdDoing's scale.
