Position Overview:
The Volunteer Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting Rooted Interiors by recruiting, managing, and engaging volunteers who are passionate about our mission. This role involves coordinating volunteer activities, ensuring a positive experience for volunteers, and building relationships that strengthen our community impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Volunteer Recruitment: Identify and recruit volunteers from diverse backgrounds to support various projects and events, including outreach through community organizations, social media, and faith-based networks.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Create and maintain volunteer schedules, ensuring that all projects and events are adequately staffed. Coordinate with project leads to align volunteer activities with organizational needs.
- Volunteer Engagement: Foster a supportive and inclusive environment by recognizing and celebrating volunteer contributions, providing ongoing communication and support, and organizing appreciation events.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records of volunteer participation, hours, and contact information. Generate reports on volunteer activities and impact.
- Community Outreach: Build relationships with local community groups, churches, and businesses to expand volunteer outreach and partnerships.
Qualifications:
- Passion for Rooted Interiors’ mission and values
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in volunteer management or community organizing (preferred)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with volunteer management software (preferred)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
