Road Warrior Needed for Eastern Connecticut Resident

Description
A Road Warrior is needed for a local neighbor who is legally blind and living in bucolic Eastern Connecticut. The need for medical transportation is intermittent but important. He has been on a very long road with the support of his friends and family but needs to add a few more names to his list of good Samaritans. Could you sign up for one or two trips here or there to help ease his worries to provide respite for family and friends?
There are some choices
- Occasional Trips to Day Kimball Hospital, wait and return; or
- An occasional trip to his transplant doctor, wait and return to Dayville
- Local trips to the grocery store, post office or out for coffee would be a boon!
Despite the challenges, he is open, engaging and in good spirits, grateful for all the support he receives. Appointments are ongoing but you aren't going to do them all, just one or two when you can and that will be awesome.
Requirements to be a great volunteer include RELIABILITY, RELIABILITY, RELIABILITY
- a desire to help others;
- a pleasant demeanor;
- a good reading/speaking voice;
- average reading skills;
- organizational or planning abilities;
