    Description

Beale Horton Health (BHH) is on a mission to end the 2 million preventable child deaths caused each year by donor funding collapse—the #1 killer of children globally, surpassing HIV/AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis combined. BHH delivers a world-class school-based health model that uses behavioral science, sustainable incentives, and smart technology to keep children healthy even after donor programs end. As the scaling arm of Cocoa360, and rooted in 10 years of its research in Ghana, BHH’s model has reached 35,000 families, and by 2027, aims to protect 5 million African children everyday.

    Position Overview

Beale Horton Health is redefining sustainable school-based health across Africa, connecting communities to paid research and technology partners to self-fund adherence incentives. We are seeking a Business Development Fellow to support our growth strategy as we expand across Ghana and into new African markets.

This role is ideal for analytical thinkers, aspiring consultants, future MBAs, or anyone interested in social enterprise, global health financing, or frontier-market innovation.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct market research on potential partners (global health funders, research platforms, AI training companies, corporate ESG teams, ministries of education/health).
    • Develop prospect lists and categorize opportunities by alignment, geography, and partnership type.
    • Draft partnership outreach materials, pitch decks, one-pagers, and value propositions.
    • Support development of business models, financial projections, and partnership workflows.
    • Track KPIs and generate insights from impact and sustainability data.
    • Collaborate with program and tech teams to prepare materials for meetings and presentations.

    Desired Qualifications

    • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Interest or background in business development, consulting, public health, economics, or nonprofit scaling.
    • Experience with Excel/Sheets, CRM tools, or presentation design (preferred but not required).
    • Curiosity, creativity, and desire to contribute meaningfully to African-led solutions.

    What You’ll Gain

    • Experience supporting strategy and partnerships for a high-impact, fast-growing global health innovation.
    • Exposure to sustainable financing models, research marketplace systems, and adherence technology.
    • Opportunities for leadership roles as BHH expands its Business Development division.
