    Description

    Creekside Woods Neighborhood Tree Planting

Interested in making a positive impact on your community that will last years? Sign-up to join Keep Indianapolis Beautiful and the Indianapolis Woman's Chorus to plant 130 native trees. This planting will feature a community sing led by IWC to celebrate the beauty of the trees all around us, and the joy of people working together toward a common goal! With your help, the trees we plant will bring the benefits of cleaner air, carbon mitigation, and stormwater retention to Indianapolis communities. The tree planting demonstration will begin at 9:05am the latest, please be sure to arrive to find parking ahead of the start time to ensure you learn how to properly plant a tree.

Are you new to planting trees or do you need a refresher? Check out this great video on How to Plant a Tree!

Neighborhood Information: Creekside Woods is a residential neighborhood on the far eastside of Indianapolis, located near 21st and German Church Road. It was developed in the 1990s-2000s, making it one of the newer residential communities in Indianapolis. Designed as a suburban style subdivision with curving streets, cul-de-sacs, and family-oriented housing, with easy access to trails, parks, and major roadways.

Fun Facts: Creekside Neighborhood gets its name from the small creeks and wooded areas that run through the east side of Indianapolis.
