LoopRoots Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening families and communities impacted by incarceration. We provide programs that promote reentry success, affordable housing, mental health support, and workforce development.

Our mission is rooted in connection, compassion, and community — building pathways that empower families to heal, rebuild, and thrive.

    Position Overview

LoopRoots Foundation is seeking a Volunteer Videographer (or small video production team) to help produce a series of inspiring, high-quality videos that share our story and bring our mission to life.

This role includes three core projects:

    1. Founder Story Video
      • 2–3 minute cinematic video featuring Founder Marketta Kirby sharing her personal story and the vision behind LoopRoots.
      • Used on our website, press deck, and donor materials.
    2. Orientation Video
      • 3–5 minute introduction for volunteers, interns, and partners.
      • Showcases our mission, values, programs, and impact areas.
    3. Promotional Videos (Short-Form Series)
      • 3–5 short (30–60 second) promotional clips highlighting LoopRoots programs, community partners, and upcoming initiatives.
      • Optimized for social media, YouTube, and Idealist/LinkedIn promotion.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with the Executive Director on creative direction and messaging
    • Plan, film, and edit content (remote or in-person options available)
    • Incorporate LoopRoots brand colors and logo (Neon Pink, Neon Orange, Neon Yellow, Neon Green, Black & White)
    • Add text overlays, music, and captions for accessibility
    • Deliver final files optimized for website and social use

    Ideal Candidate

    • Passionate about social justice and community storytelling
    • Skilled in filming and post-production (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci, etc.)
    • Experience with nonprofit or documentary-style video preferred
    • Creative eye for lighting, sound, and pacing
    • Organized, dependable, and able to meet agreed timelines

    Commitment

    • Estimated total: 20-25 hours (flexible schedule)
    • Fully remote role (filming can be virtual, hybrid, or on-location depending on candidate location)
