    Description

    Guiding Eyes for the Blind Volunteer Drivers Needed

    Guiding Eyes for the Blind is looking for volunteer drivers in the vicinity of our Yorktown Heights, NY and Patterson, NY facilities who will be available to help with various types of transport.

    Drivers:

    • will always use a Guiding Eyes for the Blind vehicle
    • will receive trip request information through email
    • driver can decide if they are more comfortable with local trips or long trips
    • driver can sign up for trips that they are available for
    • needs to be at least 21 years of age
    • needs to be fully vaccinated
    • needs to have a clean driving record

    Types of Trips:

    • transporting dogs/puppies between our Yorktown Hts, NY and Patterson, NY facilities
    • transporting dogs/puppies to Veterinary Hospitals in Westchester County, Dutchess County and Connecticut
    • transporting staff/dogs/puppies to local airports - Westchester and Stewart
    • transporting staff/dogs/puppies to major airports
    • long distance trips to Delaware and Pennsylvania
