    Help Create Safe Spaces Where Youth Can Thrive

    At R.O.Y.O., safety is foundational to everything we do. We’re looking for a Volunteer Safety & Security Coordinator who is passionate about protecting and supporting youth, volunteers, and our community during programs and events. In this role, you’ll be a trusted presence helping prevent risks, responding to concerns, and ensuring a safe, respectful environment for all.

    What You’ll Do

    • Monitor program environments to ensure safety protocols are followed
    • Serve as the point of contact for safety concerns during events
    • Respond to incidents calmly and escalate when needed
    • Conduct routine safety checks and identify potential risks
    • Support safety trainings and onboarding for volunteers
    • Maintain clear incident reports and communicate updates to leadership
    • Pause activities if unsafe conditions arise

    What You Bring

    • Strong awareness, sound judgment, and ability to stay calm under pressure
    • Clear communication and attention to detail
    • Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion
    • Commitment to R.O.Y.O.’s mission and values
    • Basic Certification / Readiness is a plus.
    • PR / First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
    • Proficient in Google Suite and open to learning new tools.

    Preferred:

    • Experience in safety, security, or emergency response
    • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
