    Description

Join us at Abalone Cove Nature Reserve for Outdoor Volunteer Day! We

will be working to restore and preserve native habitat through

restoration activities that could include planting native plants,

preparing native seed, and/or removing invasive plants. Date: Saturday,

June 27, 9:15am - 12pm. Please do not arrive before 9AM, the parking

lot does not open until 9 AM. This event will meet at 9:15 AM in the

parking lot next to the parking booth of Abalone Cove Reserve: 5970

Palos Verdes Dr. South, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275. Please arrive on

time. If you are dropping off a minor please check in with the onsite

coordinator before leaving. Please note we often work at a different

location than the meetup point, so we can’t guarantee you’ll be able to

participate if you are not there at the start time. We will be working

outdoors, so please wear closed-toed shoes, sun protection, bug spray

and be sure to bring drinking water and a snack. A reusable water bottle

is recommended. Long pants and a long-sleeved shirt are recommended.

Activity level: mild to moderate. Please be prepared for mildly

strenuous hiking to reach volunteer locations. Please note that events

may be cancelled due to weather conditions. Please check the event page

at https://pvplc.volunteerhub.com before leaving for the event. All

volunteers under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign and complete

their release before they can volunteer. Volunteers under 16 should be

accompanied by an adult. One registration per volunteer is required.

Thank you for your continued support of the Conservancy!
