Organization: Mentor A Promise (MAP)
Location: Remote with potential NYC-based collaboration
Type: Volunteer
Role Overview: The Partnership and Referral Coordinator will identify and organize potential
partners that can support MAP’s work with students and families experiencing housing instability.
This role will help build a clear map of schools, shelters, nonprofits, counseling providers, tutoring
programs, housing-support agencies, and public service providers. The coordinator will help
MAP strengthen collaboration, reduce service gaps, and create referral pathways that connect
families to meaningful support.
Key Responsibilities: Research and document relevant community organizations and public
agencies; create and maintain a partner contact list; identify services available to students and
families; recommend referral pathways and collaboration opportunities; support outreach to
potential partners; and contribute to the partnership and referral map included in the final action
plan.
Qualifications: Experience or interest in nonprofit partnerships, community resource
coordination, youth services, education, housing support, or social services; strong networking,
writing, and organizational skills; ability to communicate professionally with external partners;
familiarity with NYC service systems preferred.
