    Description

For over 40 years, Living Jazz has been dedicated to producing unique, accessible music education and performance programs that: Empower children and adults | Inspire creative growth | Unite diverse communities

Living Jazz is a beloved Bay Area Institution. Since 1984, Living Jazz has designed and produced a multitude of programs that have literally helped shape the Bay Area's music scene and beyond. Living Jazz’s flagship program, Jazz Camp West, brings together intergenerational communities, learning, and jazz mastery in the California redwoods. Jam Camp West is a 7-day music and vocal program for 10-17 year olds that welcomes children of all skill levels and backgrounds. RootED serves TK - 12 grade students in the East Bay through music and dance education with a social justice focus. Living Jazz is also the producer of “In the Name of Love” - the Annual MLK Musical Tribute in Oakland.
