    Description

    Become an AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP Volunteer and serve with the Faulkner Hospital - You must be age 55 or over.

    Service Summary: This volunteer would help assist patients and families find their way around the hospital in order to get to an appointment or visit with a loved one.

    Duties:

    • Stand by the Atrium elevators and assisted people who may not know how to get to their appointment
    • Provide directions to patients
    • Escort patients to appointment if necessary
    • Direct to the hospital ambassador if the individual is not sure what type of appointment it is
    • Find wheelchairs throughout the hospital if necessary

    Essential Skills Needed:

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Excellent customer service skills

    Commitment

    • Pleasant demeanor
    • Ability to follow directions and take supervision
    • Ability to be on feet for an extended period
