Description
Position Summary
The Program Committee Intern will work closely with Young Mothers, Inc. (YMI's) Program Committee to help coordinate, organize, and enhance program delivery that empower and uplift young mothers. This is a great opportunity for individuals pursuing careers in social work, case management, nonprofit management, or community development.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with program providers, participants, parents, and community partners
- Assist in planning meetings, orientations, and program events
- Respond to provider inquiries and support ongoing program needs
- Track attendance and maintain accurate participant records
- Support data entry and basic expense tracking
- Assist with participant intake, enrollment, and documentation
- Process checks requests for program-related activities
- Help ensure compliance with program and partner requirements
- Collaborate with the Program Committee to maintain high-quality programming
- Build and strengthen relationships with community partners
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Teams
- Reliable, proactive, and committed to making an impact
- Background or interest in social work, case management, or related fields (preferred)
