    Description

    Role Overview:

    Trauma Speaks, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven volunteer to support our Human Resources and administrative functions. This role is ideal for someone interested in nonprofit operations, HR processes, and compliance, with an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to an organization focused on trauma awareness and support.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and organize confidential employee and volunteer records in alignment with HR best practices
    • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation, orientation coordination, and file management
    • Support recruitment efforts by posting volunteer opportunities, scheduling interviews, and tracking candidate communications
    • Respond to general HR inquiries and help ensure a positive volunteer and staff experience
    • Create, manage, and maintain organized digital filing systems for HR and organizational records
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive spreadsheet system to track and organize documentation required for annual nonprofit filings, including CTR-1 and RRF-1 reports
    • Assist in preparing, compiling, and organizing supporting documents for compliance-related filings and audits
    • Help ensure timely submission of required state and organizational reports by tracking deadlines and required materials
    • Provide general administrative support such as scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and coordinating internal communications
    • Support special projects and other operational needs as required by leadership

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Interest in Human Resources, nonprofit management, or organizational operations
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Experience with spreadsheets (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets) and document management
    • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
