    Description

The Texas Railway Preservation Association (TRPA) is seeking a high-tech AI Systems & Workflow Trainer. Reporting to the Chief of Staff and the Director of Digital Infrastructure, you will be the architect of our internal "Digital Foundry."

Your mission is to build, host, and train our leadership team on AI-driven tools that track project metrics, institutional growth, and restoration progress. We are looking for a developer and trainer who can bridge the gap between heavy industrial history and cutting-edge automation. You won't just be using AI; you’ll be engineering the custom stack that powers the TRPA’s operational future.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Internal Tool Engineering: Develop and maintain custom internal tools using n8n, Gemini API, and Python to automate project management and leadership metrics.
    • Metric Architecture: Create "Dashboards of Power" that track volunteer hours, grant progress, and mechanical restoration milestones in real-time.
    • AI Deployment & Hosting: Manage the backend hosting and API integrations (via Google Cloud, Vercel, or AWS) to ensure TRPA’s AI tools are secure, scalable, and high-performing.
    • Leadership Training: Conduct high-fidelity training sorties for the Board and Staff, teaching them how to utilize AI workflows to increase institutional efficiency.
    • Workflow Automation: Build and optimize "Stack Flows" that connect our digital archive, social media narrative, and government relations data into a unified system.

    Professional Requirements

    • Technical Stack Mastery: Must be proficient in the following (or equivalent) stack: n8n (low-code automation), Gemini/OpenAI APIs, Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
    • Architecture Experience: Expertise in backend hosting, webhook management, and database integration (e.g., Pinecone, Supabase, or Airtable).
    • Portfolio Submission: Must provide a portfolio or GitHub repository showing prior work in AI automation. You must be capable of explaining your logic, your API structures, and the "why" behind your builds.
    • Process Clarity: The ability to explain complex "Black Box" AI processes in layman’s terms for non-technical leadership.
    • Mission Alignment: A drive to apply 21st-century "Machine Learning" to 20th-century "Machine Power."

    The TRPA Advantage

You are building the "Brain" of the TRPA. While others handle the iron, you handle the intelligence that makes the restoration possible. This is a rare opportunity to build a custom, ground-up AI ecosystem for a premiere Texas institution, providing you with a high-impact case study for your professional career in tech.

Join the TRPA. Automate the Power.
