Description
Responsible for leading safe nature outings for a group of children, teens or young adults with our community partners
- Complete Outdoor Leadership Training (OLT) and co-lead provisional outing prior to becoming a leader
- Organize & manage logistics of outing from start to finish
- "Pre-hike" chosen outing location
- Assign duties to Co-leaders, as necessary (e.g. make lunches)
- Create Safety Management Plan
- Complete Post-Trip Report
- Manage communication with community partner hosts from pre-trip through post-trip
- Send Trip Release forms 3 to 6 weeks prior to trip outing
- Receive & review Trip Release forms for allergies & completion
- If necessary, attend pre-trip tabling event at participating community partner
- Maintain Las Vegas ICO equipment (i.e. Sierra Club backpacks, two-way radios, Spot Garmin device).
