Description
Our nation’s veterans served with courage and pride. When faced with a terminal illness, it is our
honor to give back to them. That is why we are seeking Veterans and those who appreciate them, to provide
companionship to your fellow Veterans who are on hospice service.
By becoming a Veteran volunteer, your unique experiences and skills can profoundly impact the
lives of Veterans, fostering a supportive and understanding environment as they
navigate their end-of-life journey.
You can make a lasting difference in the lives of those who have served our nation with honor
and valor in a variety of ways, including:
- Companionship: Providing companionship and emotional support to ease feelings of isolation and loneliness.
- Caregiver Relief: Offering respite to primary caregivers, allowing them time to rest and recharge.
- Pinning Ceremonies: Honoring Veteran patients with heartfelt pinning ceremonies, recognizing their service and sacrifices, and creating cherished memories for families.
- Life Review: Facilitating meaningful conversations and life reviews, allowing Veterans to share their experiences.
