Description
Dorill Initiative is looking for volunteers to help make our gala a success and to inspire other members in our community! We will be needing 2 volunteers for our check-in service to welcome guests, manage the guest list, verify registrations, and distribute materials as needed. A warm demeanor and strong communication skills are essential to create a positive first impression and assist guests with any questions. Volunteers will be needed from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm to ensure a smooth check-in experience for everyone attending.
Dorill Initiative is a revolutionary grassroots civic arts and cultural institution that advances At-Promise Youth and Families through rigorous arts education, leadership development, and civic action, creating pathways to creativity, opportunity, and belonging across New York City. To celebrate the youth and the organization we will be having our annual Disrupt through Art Gala on October 29, 2026.

Directions
Directions by Subway / Public Transit
- Take the F train to the East Broadway station, which is just a short walk from the building.
- Take the B, D, F, or M trains to East Broadway or Grand Street, or use local Manhattan buses like the M15 or M9 that service the Lower East Side.
Directions by Car
- From your starting area, head toward Manhattan via major regional connectors and take the FDR Drive south.
- Take the exit toward South Street, then follow local streets like Clinton Street to reach East Broadway. Note that street parking in the Lower East Side can be limited.
