    Description

    Clinical Coordintor

New Leaf Behavioral Health is a Raleigh-based nonprofit providing outpatient mental health services throughout North Carolina. We are one of the state's leading providers of free and low-fee counseling services for uninsured and lower-income individuals. Our mission is to make mental health care more accessible by offering affordable options that encourage people to seek help early, before concerns become more serious.

As a Volunteer Clinical Coordinator, you'll help support our clinical team by coordinating referrals, verifying insurance benefits, scheduling appointments, and communicating with referral sources. Volunteers become an important part of our day-to-day operations and gain meaningful, hands-on experience in a nonprofit behavioral healthcare setting.

We ask volunteers to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week (ideally 15). This allows us to provide thorough training and give volunteers the opportunity to take on a variety of meaningful responsibilities.

Volunteer hours are currently available Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

This opportunity is especially valuable for students pursuing careers in healthcare administration, psychology, counseling, social work, public health, medicine, or psychiatry.

No prior mental health experience is required. We are looking for individuals who are comfortable talking on the phone, have basic computer skills, and enjoy working with people.

If you're interested in making a difference while gaining valuable experience, we'd love to hear from you.
