    Events Team | Creative + General Position | Environmental Organization

    Root For Change is a youth-led organization(awaiting an official 501(c)(c) status) that aims to address environmental issues; We hope to engage individuals in fun activities to help combat the environmental crisis, and inform the general public about the health of their environment. We are more than pleased to hear that you are interested in joining us on this mission.Please keep in mind the fact that all the roles are voluntary!

    AGE REQUIREMENTS: 11 - 25

    • must be organized and punctual

    Which teams you will work with ──★ ˙🏔️ ̟ !!

    1. Events Lead (Directly)
    2. Head of Marketing Operations (Indirectly)
    3. Head of Volunteer Management(Directly)

    You will be able to choose between the in-person events team, online events team, or fundraising team. Each of these categories has its own distinct team. Learn more below!

    How this works ──★ ˙🏔️ ̟ !!

    In-person events team -------------------------------------------------------------------

    1. help your events lead when they draft up event proposal and creating google forms
      1. event proposals are done through a template that includes things such as purpose, audience, estimated budget, approximated location, etc.
      2. required to host 1 event each month
    2. help your events lead search for organizations we can collaborate with, secure materials, secure a location, etc.
    3. on the day of the event, your event lead will remind you about the tasks you need to do, but for the most part you will help record participant attendance if the head of volunteer management can’t attend, ensure volunteers have a good experience, the event runs smoothly, and take loads of pictures!
    4. YOU MUST ATTEND THE EVENTS YOU PLAN
      1. must live in NYC; this is a HYBRID position
      2. regular excuses won’t be tolerated but if something urgent comes up, please communicate with your events lead
    5. work with the head of the volunteer departments to ensure that they knows exactly where the events is and any precautions the volunteers must adhere by

    Fundraising team --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    1. work closely with the head of the financial management to plan and host fundraisers. aim to host a fundraiser every other month.
    2. on the day of the event, your event lead will remind you about the tasks you need to do, but for the most part you will help record participant attendance if the head of volunteer management can’t attend, ensure volunteers have a good experience, the event runs smoothly, and take loads of pictures!
    3. YOU MUST ATTEND THE EVENTS YOU PLAN
    4. this is a hybrid position
    5. regular excuses won’t be tolerated but if something urgent comes up, please communicate with your events lead
