    Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in Colorado Springs? Happy Cats Haven is actively recruiting strategic, mission-driven professionals to join our Board of Directors.

    Since 2011, we've grown from a small operation into a vital community resource. In 2024 alone, we saved 950 cats and kittens, finding forever homes for 774 of them. Our commitment to the most vulnerable cats (62% of adoptions being adult and seniors) sets us apart in the animal welfare community.

    We're Seeking Board Members with Expertise In:

    πŸ›οΈ Nonprofit Law – Guide governance, compliance, and legal best practices

    πŸ’° Fundraising Strategy – Develop innovative campaigns and donor engagement initiatives

    πŸ“Š Financial Planning & Legacy Giving – Build sustainable revenue through planned giving programs

    πŸ’‘ Revenue Development – Identify and cultivate new funding streams

    What Board Service Offers You:

    Board Member Commitment:

    • Attend quarterly board meetings β€’ Participate in at least one committee aligned with your expertise β€’ Support fundraising through personal giving and network cultivation β€’ Serve as an ambassador for our mission β€’ Two-year term with possibility of reappointment β€’ Approximately 3-5 hours monthly commitment

    Ideal Candidates:

    Instructions:

    We love our Happy Cats volunteers! If you are interested, here are a few basic requirements:

        • Attend an orientation
        • Pay a $10 (minimum) registration fee
        • Be 18 years old or older (teens 12-17 can volunteer with parental supervision…or help us from home)
        • Can commit to 8 hours of service per month
        • Can commit to scheduled volunteer times
        • Be able to squat, bend, twist, lift and stand for long periods while working directly with the cats
        • Be able to work independently with limited supervision (after training)
