    Internship

    Location: St. Vincent de Paul, Indianapolis

    Position Type: Unpaid/Volunteer Internship

    Duration: Varies based on academic requirements and internship expectations. Internships can last a minimum of 20 hours or up to 1 semester.

    About Us: St. Vincent de Paul-Indianapolis (SVdP Indy) serves the most vulnerable in our community. On a daily basis, we provide for the most basic of human needs: food, clothing, diapers, beds and more. We dedicate ourselves to providing neighbors with a pathway out of poverty—one rooted in love, support and skills training in order to build a sustainable future. We do that through our Changing Lives Forever program and our Love Your Neighbor Center. Whether we’re meeting day-to-day needs or helping people realize a brighter future, we strive to love our neighbors in a way that’s dignified and respectful.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist with organizing and executing programs.
    • Provide support in administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and managing communications.
    • Participate in outreach activities to raise awareness about our mission and services.
    • Collaborate with staff and other volunteers to ensure the smooth operation of daily activities.
    • Help with fundraising efforts, including planning and coordinating events.
    • Engage with community members and provide excellent customer service.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Passion for community service and making a positive impact.
    • Reliable, punctual, and committed to completing assigned tasks.
    • Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, email).
