Role Summary

We are seeking Volunteer-to-Paid Relational Organizers to mobilize New Jersey voters in support of a State Job Guarantee, establishing pilot programs that create living-wage jobs for people who cannot find stable work. These jobs would focus on strengthening our communities, caring for people in need, supporting schools, and other public services that benefit everyone.

This role begins as a volunteer position focused on growing a community of people working together to create jobs and build support for a Job Guarantee in New Jersey. No prior experience in politics or organizing is required.

What You'll Do (Volunteer Duties):

• Post on social media to start conversations about what kinds of jobs your community needs
• Respond to comments and engage with people sharing ideas
• Help grow an active online community of New Jersey voters working together to pass a State Job Guarantee
• Reach out to people you already know—friends, family, or coworkers—by text or in person, and invite them to join

Pathway to a Paid Organizer Position

As our community grows, so does the opportunity. We are working to create up to 500 paid, part-time Relational Organizer roles paying $4,000 per month for those who help build and sustain our organizing efforts.

While not guaranteed, volunteers who demonstrate initiative, consistency, and strong contributions will be prioritized and first in line as positions open. Paid roles are created as funding allows, and active volunteers will receive priority consideration.

How It Works

3. Volunteer remotely from anywhere in New Jersey, on your own schedule.
4. Receive technical support via phone, email, or Zoom as needed

As paid positions are funded, volunteers will be notified first and given priority consideration for each opening.

Important Note

This role begins as an unpaid volunteer position. While a paid position cannot be guaranteed, strong volunteers will be given hiring preference and designated as priority candidates as roles become available.
