    Description

Community Collective Foundation is an Arizona nonprofit expanding access to educational support and life skills opportunities for underserved youth. As we grow, we are seeking a thoughtful, organized Board Secretary to help strengthen our governance and guide the next chapter of our work.

The Board Secretary serves as a voting member of the Board of Directors. In addition to contributing to board discussions and decisions, this person helps ensure that meetings, decisions, and organizational records are documented accurately.

    Responsibilities

    • Attend board meetings, review materials in advance, and participate in decisions about the organization’s direction and oversight.
    • Prepare board meeting minutes or review minutes prepared by another designated person.
    • Record board actions and votes, and help maintain approved minutes and key governance records.
    • Help ensure board members receive meeting notices and relevant materials in accordance with our bylaws.
    • Work with fellow board members to advance Community Collective Foundation’s mission, build community relationships, and support its long-term sustainability.

    Who we’re looking for

We welcome applicants who are dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable handling confidential information, and committed to expanding opportunities for young people in Arizona. Prior board experience is helpful but not required. Experience in education, youth development, community engagement, or nonprofit governance is especially welcome.

This is an unpaid, volunteer board position. We will discuss meeting expectations and the term of service with candidates during the selection process.

To apply: Please submit a brief introduction describing your experience, your interest in our mission, and what you would bring to the board.
