    Description

The Lovepost is an alternative media platform dedicated to integrity, depth, and solution-focused reporting. We reject the sensationalised, emotionally charged stories that dominate modern media and instead focusing on slow, in-depth journalism that inspires action. Our global collective of writers, editors, designers and creators is committed to building a more thoughtful media landscape.

We’re now looking for writers to join our new upcoming section: Pioneering Programs. This section aims to spotlight real-world initiatives that have made a measurable difference in local communities - from grassroots partnerships and policy innovations to local collectives tackling major issues like climate adaptation, food access, and education equity.

Through research and interviews with changemakers we aim to unpack how the initiative worked, impacts made, and the adaptability into other contexts. The goal is to present clear, practical steps that offer a path to implementation for our readers.

    We’re looking for writers with:

    • Strong research and interviewing skills
    • The ability to explain complex programs in accessible language
    • A desire to bring local and indigenous initiatives into focus
    • (Bonus) Experience in policy, education, sustainability, or nonprofit work

You’ll be supported by an editorial team, transcribers, fact-checkers, and proofreaders. We prioritise quality over speed, meaning each piece receives the time it needs to be researched, condensed, and told well.

To apply, please email thomas@thelovepost.global with:

    • A short paragraph about who you are and why this section resonates with you
    • 1-2 nonfiction writing samples
    • (Optional) A story idea or program you’d be excited to write about
