    Description

    Horse Leader

Each rider has a horse leader who is responsible for the horse before, during, and after a riding lesson. Before the lesson, the horse leader leads the horse to the arena for the instructor to check and ensure it is safe for a rider to get on. During the lesson, the horse leader pays attention to the horse, and its needs and behavior. After the lesson, the horse leader returns the horse to the barn.

Horse leaders are not required to have equine experience. They do have to attend a volunteer training though, which is normally held on the second Saturday of every month.

We hope you choose to volunteer with us!
