    Product Designer

    Commitment:

    12-months

    Role Overview:

    The Senior Product Designer is responsible for strengthening and evolving Greenstand’s design foundations across its digital products and communications. This role focuses on updating and expanding the existing style guide, contributing to the creation of a comprehensive design system based on Material Design, and ensuring consistent, high-quality design across web, mobile applications (iOS and Android), and organizational communications.

    The designer will work closely with product, engineering, marketing, and communications teams to make iterative improvements across core applications, the Greenstand website, and external-facing materials.

    Compensation:

    Volunteer, until otherwise funded

    Reports to:

    Product Leadership, Engineering Leadership

    Collaborates with:

    • Product managers
    • Engineering teams
    • Other designers
    • Marketing and communications contributors

    AREAS of RESPONSIBILITY

    You will be responsible for the following:

    • Updating and expanding Greenstand’s style guide into a comprehensive, reusable design reference
    • Contributing to the creation and maintenance of a scalable design system based on Material Design
    • Ensuring the design system supports product, marketing, and communications needs
    • Designing and improving user interfaces for mobile applications (iOS and Android)
    • Designing and maintaining website layouts and visual elements
    • Creating visual assets for:
      • LinkedIn and other social media posts
      • Pitch decks and presentations
      • Annual reports and organizational publications
    • Working closely with engineering and product teams on core applications to deliver iterative UI improvements
    • Ensuring all designs adhere to the style guide and design system
    • Establishing and documenting design standards and best practices
    • Promoting a consistently high standard of design quality across all Greenstand products and materials

    QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

    • Experience as a Product Designer, with senior-level experience preferred
    • Demonstrated experience creating or contributing to design systems
    • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Figma
    • Beginner to intermediate knowledge of Material Design (advanced knowledge is a plus)
    • Experience producing design assets for marketing and communications
    • Ability to collaborate closely with product, engineering, and communications teams
    • Ability to work independently and asynchronously in a distributed, global team
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to design excellence
