    Coordinator: Stephanie, Program Manager

New Earth is a YouthBuild Charter School site, which means that on any given school day our campus is home to young people who are working hard to earn their diplomas, build workforce skills, and build better futures for themselves. Keeping that environment structured, safe, and running smoothly requires people — and that's where you come in.

As a Front Desk and Campus Supervision Volunteer, you are a steady, trusted presence on campus. You help document student movement, ensure that our internal protocols are followed, and serve as a calm, consistent face that students and staff can count on. This isn't a passive role — it requires attentiveness, professionalism, and a genuine understanding that the structure you help maintain directly supports the wellbeing and success of the students you're serving.

This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, observant, and comfortable working directly alongside young people in a school environment. Because this position involves direct and regular contact with minors, it requires full clearance — background check, TB test, and LiveScan — prior to beginning service.

    What you'll do:

    • Maintain the front desk and serve as the first point of contact for anyone entering the campus
      • This will include checking bags, and security wand.
    • Document student movement throughout campus in accordance with New Earth's internal protocols
    • Monitor common areas and ensure students are following campus guidelines
    • Redirect students, guests, and visitors as needed and escalate any concerns to staff immediately
    • Support a structured, calm, and welcoming campus atmosphere throughout your shift

Scheduling: Shift times are flexible and will be coordinated directly with the Campus Director, Campus Manager and Program Manager. We simply ask for clear communication about your availability and consistency in showing up when scheduled. Reliability is the most important quality this role requires.
