    Description

    Vigil Volunteer

Come join us as a member of the Brighton Hospice Final Hours Companion team! Patients who have little, or no family nearby often find themselves isolated and alone during their last days. A specially trained Final Hours Vigil Volunteer can help fill the need for comforting presence, healing touch, and compassion in the last days or hours when a love-one is not available or when family members need to step away from the bedside of their dying loved one.

Our patients are located throughout the Eugene-Springfield metro area at various care communities and in private homes. A Vigil Volunteer is an individual trained by Brighton Hospice to provide support to patients, their families, and their hospice team. No prior medical experience is required.

Our onboarding process includes comprehensive hospice education and training. We also require a background check and tuberculosis screening.

Consider joining our team of compassionate volunteers making a difference in brightening the lives of our patients!

Learn more at brightonhospice.com or call our Brighton Hospice Eugene office at 541-505-9715.
